Finding
a Position
It is our hope that every graduate finds the best available position in
the country of their choice and has the opportunity to make a successful
and rewarding career from Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.
The English teaching industry has changed significantly over the past
ten years. Disappearing are the days when you could just walk off the
street with a backpack and teach for fun. The demand for trained and qualified
teachers is increasing, and the best jobs are going to those who have
the commitment and training to do the job well. A TESOL career can also
harmonize with writing, acting, or other creative pursuits while living
abroad. Additionally, working in TESOL can lead to careers in school administration,
curriculum development, training, publishing, translation and interpreting,
business and aid organizations.
